Ah, s#%&, I forgot to defrost the meat!

A quick way to defrost cuts of meat (without risking cooking it like you would in the microwave) is to put it in a zip-seal bag and submerge it in a pot of hot water (about 60*C – just a bit hotter than the hot tap) for about 10-15 minutes.
It’ll thaw nicely and won’t take long enough for bacteria to develop.
