Siracha Sloppy Joes

You will need:
  • 700g beef strips (stir-fry cut)
  • 1 bottle F.Whitlock Sriracha chilli marinade
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 red capsicum, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 310ml (1 1/4 cups) tomato passata
  • 4 large soft hot dog bread rolls, warmed, split
  • Sliced jalapenos, to serve
  • Shredded cheddar cheese
  • Potato chips, to serve (optional)
Get down to business:
  1. Marinate the beef strips with the Sriracha marinade set aside in the fridge for 30 mins.
  2. Heat the oil in a large non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the onion, capsicum and garlic. Cook, stirring, for 3 minutes or until softened. Add the marinated beef strips and remaining marinade and cook, stirring, for 4 minutes or until the meat has browned.
  3. Stir in the passata—season to your liking. Bring to the boil. Reduce heat to low. Simmer, occasionally stirring, for 12 minutes or until thickened.
  4. Spoon the beef mixture among the rolls. Serve with jalapenos, shredded cheese and salad. Add the optional chips on the side
